Dreams

I dreamt of roses and wild gardenias,
In a garden hedged by rows of orchids,
Girdled and blanketed by fields of stars,
Breathtaking in beauty, no memory could rid..

I dreamt of a home, by the great blue sea,
A serene abode by the glittering sands,
no other place i may choose to be,
A place to call home in beautiful lands..

I dreamt of a love, beautiful and warm,
whose eyes are peace and hands are care,
To weather the world, arm in arm,
And burdens we shall together bear..

I dreamt of a life that is peaceful and happy,
With all my heart, i still wish so,
But will the weight of dreams in life apply?
Only with time will i finally know..
