Sometimes

Sometimes i wonder, why the skies are blue,
Or how the eagle's flight is true,
Sometimes i have such thoughts to ponder,
With each asked question, the answer gets harder,

Sometimes i wish, that i have friends,
Understanding and loyal, to the very end,
Sometimes i hope, my dealings fair,
That nobility and honor, are not just theatrical flair,

Sometimes i watched, my life went by,
To be happy in life, at least i try,
I should try to return what cruelty has taken,
To bring sunshine in a world forsaken,

With each passing day i lived my life,
With every new dawn i learn again,
To hold on tight, through up or down,
And strike a balance, between smile or frown,

Of all those words that was left unspoken,
Of all the promises bent and broken,
Time enough to set it all right,
To try to bring light to an oncoming night,

Sometimes i smile in spite of all,
As the tides of life enthrall,
Happy i am to still stand tall,
A toast to friends, life and all..
